The region

Welcome to a region renowned for its vast pine forests, lakes and sandy beaches. Here, you'll be far from the tourist hotspots, but only 15 minutes from the beaches of Mimizan. These beaches offer swimming, surfing and other water sports. The network of cycle paths through the Landes forest makes for easy rides, accessible to all.
There are several major sites to visit in the surrounding area. The Marquèze ecomuseum in Sabres takes you back to traditional life in the Landes at the beginning of the 20th century. The Dune du Pilat, the highest in Europe, offers spectacular views over the Bay of Arcachon and the Atlantic Ocean, around 1 hour away depending on traffic. Biscarrosse, with its seaplane museum and family beaches, completes the picture.
For lovers of outdoor activities, lakes such as those at Aureilhan and Biscarrosse are perfect for canoeing, fishing or hiking. The La Forge river, accessible from the campsite, is also ideal for paddle-boarding and swimming in a natural environment.
Local gastronomy can be found in the nearby markets and restaurants, with products such as foie gras, magret de canard (duck breast) and wines from the South-West.
