The region

The campsite's central location makes it easy to explore the beautiful sites of the Périgord Noir without having to travel long distances.
To begin with, we recommend that you visit the Château de Castelnaud (perched high above the Dordogne), Monpazier (listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France), La Roque-Gageac (a troglodyte village set against the cliffs), Domme (a fortified medieval town) and Lascaux IV (a complete replica of the Lascaux cave) for your cultural and heritage visits. These emblematic sites offer an immersion in the history, architecture and unique landscapes of the region.
If you enjoy outdoor activities, there are several options nearby: canoeing on the Dordogne, cycling on the Voie Verte du Céou, tree-climbing at the Forêt des Écureuils or taking a hot-air balloon ride for a breathtaking view over the valley. The Parc du Bournat and the Terra Aventura courses in Domme and Daglan are particularly popular for cousinade/copinade events.
Finally, for your shopping or gastronomic delights, restaurants, farmers' markets and local shops are all within easy reach of the campsite.
