The region
If you enjoy walking or cycling, you'll have the opportunity to explore paths that run alongside the sea, as well as forests and marshes. If you're in a group, there's only one thing to do: hike. It's a great way to enjoy the scenery and challenge yourself together. The port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie is also nearby, a great place to discover local produce and experience the seafaring atmosphere.
For history buffs, there are plenty of sites to visit, including the Château de Talmont, Saint-Jean-de-Lizonne Abbey and the Museum of the History of Fishing. In the same vein, you can head to Les Sables-d'Olonne and enjoy its beaches or visit the aquarium. If you're looking for a bit more excitement, there are several markets throughout the week. Don't hesitate to ask the campsite for times!
The islands of Noirmoutier and Yeu are easily accessible by boat and offer a great opportunity to go on an excursion to discover new landscapes and villages. You can also take a ride on the Vélo Rail, a fun and original activity: just hang on!
You can also go sand yachting on certain beaches. For those who prefer gentler activities, there's nothing better than a kayak trip on the region's rivers.
